Well, here we are in vancouver. We're trying to buy a van so we can begin our adventure. So as I (Nick) sit in the public library awaiting our next appointment to view a camper van, I shall take you through our plan for the coming months. July - early August: Squamish
The rest of August: The BugaboosCanada's alpine climbing paradise! How could we pass up an opportunity to visit such an incredible destination? Although the Bugs is a little detour from our North to South journey, the area is not to be missed! Here we will have a chance to really get our heads in the game before tackling higher climbs down the road. The Bugaboos is a wild place, and even climbs such as the North-East Ridge of Bugaboo Spire (10 pitches, 5.7 trad) are very committing and require a fast party to finish in a day. Also, look at the exposure... Oh yeah, the Becky-Chouinard route... This is one of my biggest dreams for this trip. Hopefully conditions in the park are good and we get a chance at this beauty! The first half of September: Smith Rock
Mid September - late October: YosemiteA place that truly needs no introduction, Yosemite will be the apogee of our climbing trip. This is a place that will be on our minds constantly until our arrival. The walls here are MASSIVE. In order to surmount classic routes such as The Regular Northwest Face of Half Dome, we will need to bring all of our climbing abilities to bear. That means training big wall skills before reaching the valley.
Late October - mid November: Red Rock CanyonDaniel and I have had the privilege of visiting Red Rock Canyon once before. The two weeks we spent there were some of the most formative in our respective climbing careers, but we want more... We left unfinished business when we arrived behind another party at the base of Levitation 29 (10 pitches, 5.11c; Lynn Hill's favourite climb ever!), and had to do another route instead.
Mid November - early December: Utah & Arizona
Early December - mid December: Hueco Tanks
Christmas time - mid January: El Potrero ChicoThe epicenter of climbing in Mexico, and one of the most alluring sport climbing destinations in the world: El Potrero Chico canyon.
Late January - ??: Mexico
The endThat's the itinerary for our road trip! Can't wait to get going, we just need to find ourselves a van... More on that soon.
- Nick

hello there, this is a dream plan and hope you got every objective ticked! Just wondering - how would you compare difficulties between Epinephrine and Angel's Crest? Obviously the style is different, but in terms of difficulties, physical abilities, and commitment? Thanks!
